Congratulations to former Durham figure skater Samantha Mason who is in the Guinness Book of Records after completing the world’s biggest ‘wheel on ice.’  Sam was the 65th and final skater to join the wheel making it a Guinness World Record for Robin Cousins’ (MBE) Holiday On Ice team. The successful record attempt was made on an outdoor rink in Mainz, Germany on September 8th 2008. 

CDIF chair Christine Eskildsen said: “I personally coached Sam during her amateur career skating for Durham and I’m excited and proud of her continued impressive international career.  Well Done to everyone who took part!”
