After plans for luxury apartments was rejected by central government last year, Durham City Council are preparing a development brief for the site of the former Riverside Rink in the Walkergate area of the city.

According to the Durham Advertiser this week, the site is to be marketed by the Royal Bank of Scotland who hold an interest in the land along with Alex Priano – from the family who took the building over from Rex Brown’s Durham Wasps Enterprises in 1996.
