A couple of ice rink and Wasps related groups have sprung up recently on social networking site facebook.

For those unfamiliar with the phenomenon, it’s a dead clever tool for keeping in touch with friends, colleagues and family (should you really want to). And a bit more. It also has “Groups” – where likeminded members can swap stories and post photos and messages. Like this classic from Wembley circa 1990:

Recently, a Durham Wasps group has emerged set up by former Wasps fan Kieran Walker, and a bring back the ice rink!!!! group by ice skater Alex Wall.

We’d encourage as many people as possible to sign up and help keep everyone in touch. Who knows, you might even spot the bloke who used to sit infront of you on a Sunday night down the rink…
